TALKS & EVENTS

We regularly deliver talks on the Tape Letters project and reminiscence events for local community groups. Talks are delivered by project director Wajid Yaseen, who shares an overview of the project’s scope from his personal experience of cassettes in his own family to a national oral history project which has sourced over forty-five cassettes to date, and completed one hundred and twenty oral histories with individuals and families across England.

Tape Letters has engaged a significant number of people worldwide, both those with or without heritage connections to Pakistan. Remaining at the centre are the Tape Letters archive contributors and the transmission of their incredible stories.

We’ve delivered talks at venues, including BishopsGate archive, Kala Sangam, National Poetry Library, Newcastle University, Oral History Society, University of Vienna, King’s College London and more.
