In the year where families and friends have had to source new methods to keep in touch with each other, the story behind Tape Letters has now taken on even greater resonance.
Following the success of our pilot project in Manchester, we have undertaken a national effort to unearth more cassette tapes that Pakistani migrants in Britain would use to record Tape Letters, a precursor to the present-day voice note.
To discuss the findings of this project, we can provide interview opportunities with the project founder, Wajid Yaseen, case studies of those who used Tape Letters, as well as quotations and insights from the tapes themselves. Wajid is available for: news and features interviews, podcasts, Radio and Television, academic talks and presentations.
For more information, quotes, interview requests, and high resolution images, please contact: Shazia Khan, Press and Communications Officer shazia@tapeletters.com
